Recipe: World Cup Chocolate-Covered Soccer Oreos
The World Cup is finally back after a long four years. Unfortunately, the U.S. didn’t make it this time—but that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy this global sporting event! Whether you’re throwing a viewing party or just want to get into the spirit with some fun snacks, these Chocolate-Covered Soccer Oreos are sure to SCORE you some wins.
1. Place the white chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20 seconds. Stir well and reheat, continuing to heat and stir until the chips are smooth and no lumps remain.
2. Using a fork or skewer, dip each Oreo into the white chocolate coating and then flip to coat the other side. Hold the Oreo above the bowl to allow excess chocolate to stream off before placing on the lined baking sheet.
3. While the white chocolate coating is still wet, use the black icing pen to draw a soccer ball pattern. Draw a pentagon in the center of the cookie. Then, draw a line from each of the five points of the pentagon. Draw the tops of triangles at the end of each line. Fill in all the pentagons and triangles.
4. Set in the fridge for 1 hour to fully dry.
5. Serve and enjoy!
