The Pets of Hollar: Unleashed
Being a pet is a fulltime job. On top of taking care of animal duties, these pets must babysit their human at the end of every day and make sure they go into work with a big smile on their face. It’s tough work—and it’s about time these pets received the recognition they deserve! So get to know the paws and claws behind Hollar in this off-the-leash interview.
Introducing our first pet feature of many:
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name’s Shinoda and over the course of my 8 ½ lives, I’ve found that knocking over trash bins can be quite rewarding. You can normally find me at my local laundry room hanging out in the dryer or spending time with my BFF Annabelle and my fish “friends.”
What’s your favorite thing to snack on?
I’m a chicken connoisseur. Rotisserie, fried, grilled, nugget, scraps—chicken make my chops-a-lickin’. Crickets also make a great post-poultry treat!
Do you have any hobbies or games you like to play?
I love to play bumper cats, but I always seem to tip over at the slightest contact and lose. For a cat, my equilibrium isn’t the best. I also love to play “the floor is lava,” although it’s less of a game and more like training for a cat-astrophy. Although Jess doesn’t seem to think so…
What’s your most embarrassing moment?
One day I was climbing my cat tree and decided to really push my limits. I managed to take it a step further and found myself on the rafters above the tree. It was at this moment in time that I realized I didn’t know how to get back down—hilarity ensued. This may have been one of the times I lost one of my 9 lives.
If you could be any animal, which animal would you be?
There’s this animal I saw on TV called an armadillo. I think the armor on their back might be a good addition for those times where I fall over—which is most of the time.
Last question. What’s your favorite item at Hollar?
I love to get my paws on the Star Wars R2-D2 Ultra Sonic Cool Mist Humidifier! It’s almost as fun as the orange Hollar box it came in.
Thanks for your time!
